To design and fabricate a working desktop speaker using 3D printing and 3D modeling softwares. We start with disassembling an already-in-production speaker and use the parts to make a functioning speaker. Our final product must have two functions, one being the speaker part and the other being our own decision.
For my speaker, I have decided to use the second function as a plant holder. I have based this on research that certain music or talking to your plants make them thrive; what’s better than having a planter/speaker combo? I also want to stress sustainability, each of the pieces was designed with not only injection molding in mind, but also how to make it with more eco-friendly materials.
